I saw one 64 bit driver that you needed to pay for which is rediculous but was only 6 bucks. I had the same adapter.

Netgear connected to Linksys

You really need the software in some cases to get it to work. I have a Netgear WGv1 adapter on my other computer and it works great, it never linjsys and reconnects me. I have a feeling that this may be why my adapter keeps connecting and disconnecting me. Just some more information: I'm not sure whether I have to unplug it linkss not to fix it, though.
