Can I set up Server to print to the shared deskjet the same as I would in XP, then share it as a domain printer the way I can make it look like it's a printer connected to the XP machine?

When I turn the printer dezkjet, after booting the computer from a cold boot up usually after sitting off, over night, or for several hours it goes through a noisy ritual, grabs a piece of paper, and then stops in that position. I'm resending the original problem, which some how never got posted. Is the procedure any different? Not an IT pro?
